Job Description

Determine the type of publications that will best serve the project requirements.

Write and edit technical documents including reference and product user guides.

Meet with engineers, programmers, and project managers to learn about specific products or processes.

Learn new products/features in-depth.

Gather feedback from users to improve technical documents.

Maintain documentation for previous product versions.

Assess audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjust the tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.

Create or work with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding products or processes.
