As the Lead Developer spearheading enhancements in StorageGRID’s manageability and simplicity through the Grid Manager Interface and other customer-facing applications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design and development of software applications that directly benefit StorageGRID users.
Within this role, you will collaborate closely with a highly proficient technical team, collaborating with fellow software developers who are responsible for the end-to-end process, from design and development to rigorous quality assurance testing and application installation/deployment. This cooperative effort is dedicated to delivering exceptional solutions to our valued post-sales, partners, and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities
Python, Ruby on Rails or similar application development experience with good understanding of object-oriented programing concepts.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Web Technologies – JavaScript, HTML, CSS with working knowledge of rich client frameworks such as Angular.
Working knowledge of Web Server, and Microservices
Experience on RESTful API’s & standard data exchange formats is a must.
Experience on multiple operating system platforms desired (Windows, Linux, Solaris, Unix).
Full stack development experience is desired.
Containers.
Experience with storage technologies and/or shared infrastructure environments.
Very good understanding of development methodologies like Agile Scrum/Scrum of Scrums.
Must have competency and proven track record of delivering complex technical projects within a team environment of other engineers, meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Ability to work with remote teams.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and meet high quality standards.
Experience in application design and development methodologies, software development protocols, and client-server architectures.
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
Familiarity with basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices.
Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.
Creative approach to problem solving.
